On one of the half days we had I went downtown after school with Caitlin, Madi, Jackie, and Dan Dan. We were at the coffee shop for a while and we started to get bored. Madi was looking for something to do and in the corner of the coffee shop were two high chairs and of course what do you think we did? Well at first we were just going to sit ontop of them and take a picture but then I decided that it would be fun to actually sit in the high chair. Somehow I fit into it and I was sitting there for a while and we were talking and then Madi wanted ice cream so we were going to go to the chocolate factory. Now I had to get out of the high chair. That became a problem. I got stuck in the high chair and Madi and Caitlin were trying to help me get out of it. It took a while but I finally got out. Once I was out of the high chair the guy next door yelled at us for trying to go back into the high chairs. It was a fun day! :D

The Host-Darkness
Author's note-This poem is from the point of view the wanderer in The Host when her body is being taken over by a soul.
I try to see
but all I see is darkness
I try to feel
but all I feel is isolation
I try to smell
but all I smell is angst
I try to taste
but all I taste is affliction
I try to listen
but all I hear is silence
silence
darkness
silence
I try to see
but all I see is darkness
I try to feel
but all I feel is isolation
I try to smell
but all I smell is angst
I try to taste
but all I taste is affliction
I try to listen
but all I hear is silence
silence
darkness
silence

A Campfire Story
Authors note-I heard this at a campfire and I couldn't remember all of it so I'm adding things to it. I was trying to write a scary story and I don't really know if it's that scary but it was an attempt.
I was in the basement of our old house and it was lit by a lightbulb hanging from the cieling. Nobody liked going down there because it was an old creepy unfinished basement but I had to go down to do laundry. Going back to the stairs I walked across the cold cement floor and ran into a huge black grey cobweb hanging down from the cieling. Quickly I tore it off my face and started quickly walking towards the stairs hoping that if I went fast nothing bad would happen.
Finally I was at the top of the stairs but as soon as I got there I heard my phone ringing from downstairs. I forgot it and now I have to go back down! Slowly I creeked open the door and took one step down the stairs with a terrible feeling that something horrible was going to happen. With one look around I decided that nothing bad was going to happen and I was just being paranoid so I took another slow step. Out of nowhere a girl with torn tattered clothing and deep red blood splatter on her sheet white face came running towards the stairs.
My heart skipped a beat and I didn't know anything else to do but run! Not very gracefully I turned around and tried to get back to the top of the stairs but I tripped over the top stair. As my heart beat rappidly like a dogs tail thumping back and forth she crawled like the grudge up the stairs and grabbed at my legs to try to pull me down the stairs but I held on to the top and closed my eyes tightly. After a few seconds it obviously wasn't going to go away so I opened my eyes to find myself in my own bed, maybe I was dreaming, but I still felt her or it scratching at my legs. There was nothing I could do so I decided I would try to go back to sleep.
Once I woke up everything was back to normal and nothing was wrong. I went to the basement stairs and peered through the crack in the door. Nothing was there so I opened it completely and stepped down a stair. Taking a step down to the second stair I looked around and everything was the same, nothing was different but then I looked at the stairs and there was a drop of blood that was smeared across the step that I was standing on last night.
A few days later I stayed up late on the computer and forgot to turn the monitor off before I fell asleep. The little green button of light was the only thing lighting up my room. For some reason when I woke up I shot up in my bed and looked straight at the computer. At first my eyes were cloudy from sleeping but I looked down at the desk. There were feet that were up on my desk so I rubbed my eyes and checked again. They were still there and I looked down farther and sure enough there was the same girl sitting in my chair smilling an eery smile at me.
I got up and ran to the light switch to turn it on and when I turned back around she was gone. She had dissapeared into thin air. If she hid then where did she go? There was no closet and not much furniture in my room and no hiding places I could think of. I looked around. Everything was normal and nothing seemed different but my chair had moved during the night. When I went to sleep it was facing me now it was facing the desk. Nobody else was here to move it because it's winter break and they're all home to visit their families and I wasn't going to leave until tomorrow but I need to get out of this house so I left.
I had a completely normal time at my families house and I didn't see the girl again yet I had to wonder where she went. Maybe it's better not to know but I still wonder where she could've gone or maybe it was just my imagination. It couldn't be though, because the chair had been moved. There was no air conditioning turned on and all of the windows were closed so what else could it be?
A few days later I was back at my house and my roomates were still visiting their relatives. I was terrified to be there by myself but where else could I go? I had to stay there, in my house. The first day was normal and I did everything the same. Nothing happened but it was quiet.. Too quiet... Slowly but still, days went on and my roomates came back. I was so excited to see them because that meant that I didn't have to be in our house alone anymore. I went to sleep that night with a wierd feeling in my stomach.
I woke up inside of a circle made of stones and the dirt ground below me was damp and cold. Where am I? While sitting up I looked around thinking that I was alone but I definately was not. There were shadows moving all around and torches floating in the air like invisible people were carrying them. I looked around and noticed I was sitting right in the center of a fire pit. Now the world was blurring around my head at what seemed a million miles per hour and the torches were getting closer until they were in the fire pit. How am I spinning?! I'm not moving at all.
I feel the fire on my skin now. Starting at my feet and slowly the hot flames swim up my legs and up to my arms. All I can see now is black. Everything is black. Swiftly, I closed my eyes tightly preparing for death and the pain wasn't going away. I was starting to see a bright light through my eyes, but it was probably just the angry fire licking it's flames around me. When nothing was stoping and it seemed i would be here forever I opened my eyes again to find myself in my room. Once I knew this, I figured out that the light I saw was the sun coming in from the window. It was just a dream, but your not supposed to feel things like that in a dream. Excited that I was back to my room I looked around , but as I looked around my eyes stopped on my chair.
A sound that was ear splitting was coming from the chair as it slowly spun in a circle creaking a low terrible sound. Nobody was in my room. Nobody was in the rest of the house. Nobody was anywhere to be found. Nobody human touched the chair.

Busy Bee
Authors note-I wrote this a while ago, because I didn't really have any poems on my blog, and I thought I would try to write one. I was kind of thinking about when you're sitting outside in the summer and a bee comes by people and they start freaking out, but I wanted this bee to have the opposite effect to it.
A gentle breeze goes by
A gentle breeze goes by
As you open up your eyes
you see upon your nose
a bumble bee I suppose
and then beautifully sings
"I go from flower to flower
and move the pollen with my power
For when I click my heels
I give the flowers deals
they give me food for honey
and the business is quite funny
You see it's very nice
I get a lot of advice
and then every new day
I also get a different pay
And so my life goes on
and flowers will never be gone."
and flowers will never be gone."
and on the ground I lay
being stunned and in wonder
nothing could steel that bees thunder.

Forest
Authors note-This is a stream of conciousness that we did in our journals, and I started writing about a dream that I had when I was younger. I haven't finished it yet, because I'm not really sure where I want to go with this story.
I'm standing in front of a huge forest at midnight with giant trees that reach so high I can't see the tops, and the moon is out and full, looking as large as the earth and as shining and glittery as a diamond ring. It's dark all around so all I can see are the dark bases of the trees and the worn down grass that's revealing the dirt below it. I look around in hope of some type of light to lead me back to my warm comforting house, but there's light no where to be found except for the moon, which is glittery, but not very bright.
I don't know what, but something was urging me to go into the forest. I start walking forward, step by step, slowly going forward into the forest scared for what awaits me ahead. Deeper into the forest I hear a murmuring sound that turns into a chanting sound once I get closer, but the words are in a different language and I can't understand it. Now I can see a dim glowing of red... No Orange. There's a fire up ahead. The chanting is getting louder with every step I take. The Fire keeps getting higher and oranger as the flames try to reach up to the sky up above. Now the fire is reaching up so I high you would think it would burn out the stars. I finally got to the middle of the forest. There's an opening and many Native American men are standing in a large circle angrily chanting towards the fire.
They all have dark skin, black paint under their eyes and long black brown hair. Some of there hair is pulled back into a small band holding their hair back, but others have their hair down and it looks as if their hair is almost in small dredloccks. The ones with their hair down must be the chiefs because they are talking the loudest. The biggest one of all of them steps nearer to the fire and screams something angrily and everyone stopped. I hid behind a tree so I could still see what was going on, but nobody, hopefully, could see me.
I heard footsteps coming up from behind. They got closer, but I was scared to turn around and see who was coming up behind me. I went to the tree next to me to get farther away from the footsteps.
Once I knew they couldn't see me I looked back. I saw them. They were more tribal members and they were both carrying bodies on their shoulders that were tied up with ropes they kept marching. It seemed like it took forever, but finally they reached the fire circle.
Everyone made a clearing and let them in near the fire. I looked closer at the people they were carrying. It was two familiarly creepy looking people. They were throwing them into the fire! Were they even still alive? They weren't moving at all. They wen't along with the dead silence of the night right now. You could hear a pin drop onto the kindof soft ground. What should I do? In a few seconds it will be too late. I looked around. All I saw were the same things that I saw before woods, trees, fire, and darkness which surrounded me.
Where have I seen those people before? I couldn't think of who they were or where I'd seen them before, but I had a feeling that I knew them. I knew them very well, but if that was true why couldn't I figure out who they were?! I had to do something... And quick if I wanted the people they were carrying to live, if they were alive at all. I thought fast and I screamed as loud as I could. No one moved or did anything. Is was like my voice was lost in the circle. I stepped in front of the tree I had been hiding behind and I screamed as loud as I could again. This time it was as I had a bull horn over my mouth and it went all over the circle and it echoed and echoed.. Oh, but that wasn't the best thing to do, because they heard it that time.
They immediately turned and sprinted towards me.
I turned around sprinted as fast as I could. I ran until it felt like my legs would fall off. I kept going but everytime I looked back they seemed to get closer and closer to me, yet they never could quite catch me. I took another step and started to fall I looked down and what I had just done could've cost me my life. I had jumped off a cliff and now I was falling at the speed of light and hoping that I would come out of this alive. I looked up and the tribe was standing at the top of the cliff. It looked like they were laughing at me. I wanted to do somethin about it and I couldn't I was helplessly falling and falling. I'm almost.......

Ocean (stream of consciosness journal entry)
Authors note-This was a journal entry that we did for the ocean. It used to be a block of writing, but I decided to try putting it in poem format, so tell me what you think of it now please. :)
It's a bueatiful day at the beachYou're walking through the sand,
just by yourself,
no one around.
The waves come in
and collapse around your feet,
The warm sun beets down on your shoulders. Humming birds are softly singing in the distance.
Exotic frogs are croaking,
and nothing could possibly be more peaceful.
You walk through the warm sand
and lay down on your sun warmed beach towel, close your eyes
and just imagine everyday being like this.
The sound of the ocean is still quietly echoing in your ears as you gradually...
fall..
asleep...
